Here are some instructions on how to make an Persephone Altar and suggested offerings.

First, you will need to find a small space to set up your altar, this could be a shelf in the bedroom, a window sill, on top of a vacant surface or even in the bathroom. Any place that you feel Persephone would enjoy is an appropriate place to create an altar to death/rebirth, love and passion.

Now the fun part! Collecting all the decorations and offerings you think Persephone would love!

Persephone would be pleased with things like:

-Pomegranates, seeds, juice or wine

-Honey or honey infused wine

-Dark Chocolate

-Honey made from flowers

-Spring water

-Floral tea

-Breads, grains, cakes, sweets, etc.

-Sweet fruits

-Wild flowers, flower crowns/flower arrangements

-Potted plants

-Floral scented incense

-Almond, vanilla, bergamot, or pomegranate scented incense

-Purple, magenta, indigo, green, and black candles

-Statues or paintings of bats, rams, and/or deer

-Crystals: Quartz, agate, black onyx, pink tourmaline, obsidian, coral, and jasper

For the following spell, you will need:

- A small pomegranate or pomegranate seeds

- A piece of black cloth or paper

- A pen or marker

- A candle (optional)

-Lighter (remember to stay safe when using fire, and always monitor your flame)

- Choose a quiet, peaceful spot for your altar, preferably with a connection to nature.

- Use a black or dark-coloured cloth to represent the underworld.

- Add symbols of Persephone's story, such as pomegranates, flowers, and seeds.

Begin by preparing your space and setting the mood. That may be as ritualistic as you like, or it may be as simple as lowering the lighting and putting on some relaxing music. Do what makes you feel comfortable so that you can get into a relaxed state of mind. Get ready to release old patterns with Persephone.

  1. Set Your Intention. Sit in a quiet space, and take a few deep breaths. Reflect on the old patterns, habits, or beliefs you want to release. Write them down on the black cloth or paper.

  2. Invoke Persephone. Call upon Persephone's energy by saying: "Persephone, Queen of the Underworld, I invite your presence and guidance. Help me release the old and embrace the new, As you return to the world above, renewed."

  3. Begin placing your items around your Altar, try to be as intuitive as possible, go with what feels right. You can always make changes again later.

  4. Make an offering. Hold the pomegranate or pomegranate seeds in your hand, and say: "I offer you this symbol of my commitment, To release the old and embrace transformation. May your power and wisdom guide me, As I let go of what no longer serves me."

  5. Release. Take the black cloth or paper with your written intentions, and burn it (safely) or tear it into small pieces, symbolizing release. Say: "I release these old patterns, habits, and beliefs, May they transform and nourish the earth. I make space for new growth, new beginnings, And the wisdom of my inner self."

  6. Take a few moments to reflect on the release process. How do you feel? What new possibilities emerge? Let that energy warm you. If you have your Persephone bracelet then now is a great time to use it as a kind of prayer bracelet and count the beads as you ponder.

  7. Close the spell by saying:

"Persephone, I thank you for your guidance,

May your power and wisdom stay with me.

I embrace transformation and renewal,

And trust in the cycles of life.

So mote it be, or something better,

May the power of Persephone be with me."

This spell will help you to release old patterns, habits, and beliefs that no longer serve you, and to transform and renew your life. It is a symbolic act of release and transformation and a great way to consecrate your new altar space.

Remember this spell and take concrete steps in your life to support the changes you desire.

And make sure to keep her altar tended to in order to keep her passion alive in your soul. Changing the offerings and decorations is a fun way to celebrate each turn of the year and to give yourself a reminder that she's watching over you and helping you in all that you do.

And you don't just have to tend to this altar to give her offerings that she would love, you can also give her offerings in the form of: -Devotional garden or plant tending. -Learning about flowers, try baking with them, using them in bath spells, etc. -Go on nature walks. -Reciting the above spell.

-Honouring the dead.

Witchcraft is about using what you have, so if you are low on funds feel free to be as minimalistic as you want, it's really all about intention.
